Introducing four vibrant colors for the completely redesigned iPad

    October 26, 2022

In order to enhance the user experience, Apple introduced a new iPad iPad that features an all-screen design with a large 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display. The all-new iPad is powered by the A14 Bionic chip, which delivers significantly faster performance with exceptional power efficiency for demanding tasks while still providing all-day battery life. For even better video calling, an Ultra Wide 12MP front camera is located along the iPad’s landscape edge and an updated 12MP back camera captures sharp, vivid photos and 4K videos. With a USB-C port, users can connect to a variety of accessories, Wi-Fi 6 speeds up connections even more, and cellular models feature superfast 5G speeds.

Introducing four vibrant colors for the completely redesigned iPadThis all-new Magic Keyboard Folio is designed specifically for the new iPad, and it offers an incredible typing experience, a click-anywhere trackpad, and a two-piece design. With iPadOS 16 and Apple Pencil (1st generation), iPad users can be more creative and productive. The new iPad is available to order starting today, with availability in stores beginning Wednesday, October 26.

With a stunning 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display that extends to the edges, users have even more screen area to work in apps like FlipaClip and have fun using iPad. Four gorgeous finishes are available for the all-new iPad – blue, pink, yellow, and silver. It features a stunning 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display that extends to the edges, giving users even more screen real estate for apps, games, and other fun activities. With 2360×1640 pixels, nearly 4 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness, and True Tone technology, the new Liquid Retina display provides a beautiful visual experience. With Touch ID on the top button of the iPad, unlocking, logging in to apps, and using Apple Pay are seamless.

Apple’s A14 Bionic chip delivers a 20 percent increase in CPU power and a 10 percent increase in graphics performance over the previous generation. In addition, users who upgrade from an iPad of the 7th generation will see an overall performance improvement of up to 3x with the new iPad, making it up to 5x faster than the best-selling Android tablet. Boosting machine learning capabilities by up to 80 percent, A14 Bionic features a 16-core Neural Engine – double the number of cores in A13. For everyday tasks like working on a school project, editing a high-resolution video, or playing a graphics-intensive game, A14 Bionic delivers remarkable performance and efficiency.

This is the first time the front-facing camera on an iPad has been placed along the landscape edge. FaceTime calls or social media videos will always be recorded with users looking right toward the camera. With a 12MP sensor and 122-degree field of view, the landscape Ultra Wide front camera supports Center Stage, which automatically pans and zooms to keep users in view. iPad’s upgraded 12MP Wide camera captures high-resolution photos and 4K video at 240 frames per second. Dual microphones work together to capture audio from the camera being used and minimize distracting background noise. Video viewing on iPad is enhanced by the new landscape stereo speakers and the larger display.

With faster wireless connectivity on iPad, users can do even more. With Wi-Fi 6, the new iPad has 30 percent faster connections than its predecessor’s 802.11ac Wi-Fi. With 5G cellular models, iPad can reach peak speeds of up to 3.5Gbps, giving users seamless access to files, communication with friends, and streaming content wherever they are. A wide range of connectivity options is available on iPad, including Gigabit LTE, physical SIM cards, and eSIM with on-device activation. With higher-power charging adapters, the USB-C port supports a wide range of accessories and provides faster charging times.

iPad accessories expand iPad’s versatility and allow it to be more creative and productive. Magic Keyboard Folio’s full-size keys, 1mm travel, and responsive feel make it an incredible typing experience for new iPads. This will be the first iPad to feature a keyboard with a large trackpad and support for multi-touch gestures, which makes scrolling, swiping, pinching, and moving the cursor even easier. New 14-key function row makes it easy to access shortcuts and everyday tasks, such as adjusting the volume or display brightness.

It features a magnetically attached protective back cover and a detachable keyboard that are highly configurable and versatile. A magnetic connector on the edge of the iPad provides power and data to the keyboard. As a result, the keyboard never needs to be charged or paired, and users can fold it behind the iPad or remove it completely. Playing games, watching video, and more can be made even more flexible with the adjustable stand on the back cover.

The new features in Messages allow users to edit or unsend recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread. This will enable them to revisit them at a later time. The new collaboration features in Messages make it easier to start and manage shared projects.

In a first for iPad, multiple printed circuit boards are plated with 100 percent recycled gold in the new iPad models to minimize their environmental impact. A 100 percent recycled copper foil is used on the main logic board of the new iPad, making it the first iPad with recycled copper. Additionally, it contains recycled aluminum, tin, and rare earth elements. There is no mercury, BFR, PVC, or beryllium in any iPad model that meets Apple’s high standards for energy efficiency. A redesigned packaging eliminates the outer plastic wrap, and more than 97 percent of the packaging is fiber-based, bringing Apple closer to its goal to eliminate plastic from all packaging by 2025.

Apple currently operates carbon neutrally on a global scale and plans to be carbon neutral throughout the entire manufacturing supply chain by 2030. This means that every Apple device sold, from component manufacturing, assembly, transport, customer use, charging, all the way through recycling and material recovery, will have net-zero climate impact.
